To be honest over the past 2 months, I've been in a bit of a style rut. I'm always going for the same types of things, and I'm ready for a little change. But hey, this is a start, I'm not wearing a skirt! I've had an aversion to trousers/ jeans for so long. I struggle to style them without feeling scruffy/too underdressed and to actually find a pair that's a good length is quite a feat. These really stood out to me because they are slim without being too skinny, have a high waist, are surprisingly comfortable, and (what really tipped me over the edge)- they're one of my favorite colors. Being only about $30 didn't hurt, since I never knew whether I'd ever wear them.
I wasn't sure about pairing the trousers with this jacket (a great Reiss sale find btw!). They're not exactly the same color but I figured it was close enough, and like I said, I'm trying something new here. I think it worked... I like the idea of wearing all one color, and I'm definitely more of a burgundy and navy person than all black. What do you think? Do you like to mix things up style-wise once in a while? How do you get out of a rut?
