Aztec prints and a new bag

Cardigan: Alice by Temperley, Shirt: H&M (old, similar here), Shorts: Zara (similar here), Belt: Vintage, Hat: Reiss, Bag: Kate Spade, Bracelets: Marc by Marc Jacobs, CWonder and Vintage, Cuff: Tory Burch, Sunglasses and boots: Topshop.

The weather is great for knitwear right now, I've put all my coats away for the summer and hoping I won't have to reach for them again for a while! This Alice by Temperley cardigan is an awkward print to match with so I chose simple pieces, lots of accessories and clashing blue nail polish to dress it up! My new Kate Spade bag is perfect because, so far, I haven't found anything that it doesn't go with! Also, it fits my dslr camera without being too big and heavy! Bonus!

Pleated sleeves

Skirt, blouse and belt: Vintage, Bag: Moschino

I've had this blouse for about a year now but it's never made an appearance on the blog... kind of in love with the pleated sleeves! Like last summer, I'm back into wearing longer-length skirts again. They're so much more flattering after my legs have been hidden away all winter and are ridiculously pale! I've got 3 new summer dresses at this length too and I'm dying to wear them, let's hope the good weather continues!

Pleats, prints and piers

Skirt: Topshop, Blouse: Zara, Bag and hat: Reiss, Belt: Vintage

Recently I was looking through my wardrobe I realised that I hardly own any prints! I guess I often buy block colours or stripes because they are easy to match with other items, but I'm definitely going to start experimenting more with prints. This blouse is a rare exception, I'd love to get a floral skirt to mis-match it with!
Speaking of experimenting, this hot pink is an unusual new lip colour that I'm obsessed with. Perfect with summer brights!

Stripes, chains and bargains

Blazer: Zara (similar here), Jeans; H&M (similar here), Hat: Reiss, Tee: Uniqlo (similar here), Sunnies: Topshop, Necklace: Baublebar, Bag: Foley and Corinna

I didn't think much about it when I was wearing this outfit a couple of days ago, but looking back this has to one of the most bargainous outfits I have ever worn! Since moving to this expensive city and having only just started my job, I am always on the hunt for a good sale in NYC. I got lucky with all these pieces! The blazer was a $40 sale score, jeans were only $10 and the tee was a steal at $7. I even got the Baublebar necklace for only $16 (as they generously give $10 off your first piece)! LOL, I never realised I was such a good bargain hunter until now. Even the  Foley and Corinna bag I scored last year in one of those crazy intense Outnet flash sales...I do hope they do another one soon! Do you have an eye for a bargain?

A casual weekend-part 2

Trousers and hat: Reiss (similar here and here), Sweater: Topshop (similar here), Blazer: eBay (similar here), Bag: Zara (similar here)

Following on from my casual, dressed down weekend, I pulled out these super comfy wide legged pants to wear on Sunday. Although I hardly ever wear jeans or trousers (maybe about once a month?) I loved them so much that I did actually get these in brown too (worn on the blog late last year).
I'm kind of obsessed with printed pants for spring, so thinking about getting maybe some floral ones or maybe polka dot? If I do, perhaps you'll be seeing more trousers around here soon!

A casual weekend

Dress: ASOS (old but there's a very similar even cuter one here), Coat: Topshop, Sweater: Cos (similar here), Belt: Vintage, Bag: Foley and Corinna

After that wonderful hot week we had at the end of March, it's now cold and wet and feels like February again. Needless to say, I've fallen out with the weather. I've resigned all my coats and thick sweaters to the back of the closet for the season and refusing to pull them out again. Right now I'm trying to work out a transitional wardrobe. Feeling under the weather this weekend led to my wearing some casual outfits, re-wearing some older pieces in a different way. You may remember this backless denim dress from last summer and my favourite Cos breton stripe sweater from the year before! What's in your transitional wardrobe?
