March has been such a great month: we have had lots of visitors to NYC which meant lots of sightseeing. Although we've lived here for three months now I still like to act like a tourist sometimes, go to places like Rockefeller centre and see the Statue of Liberty, wander around Central park and even visit Times Square sometimes, although it's always so busy! The weather is improving as each month passes and I'm so excited to see what this incredible city will bring us!

Neons and Neutrals: DailyBuzz Style 9x9
Skirt: Anthropologie, Shirt: c/o American Apparel, Wedges: Topshop, Hat: Reiss, Bag: Foley and Corinna, Belt: Vintage (similar here), Necklace: BaubleBar.
I'm kind of in love with this new pleated neon yellow skirt I grabbed in the Anthropologie sale. The neon trend is one which I've been dying to try, even though I've always been more of a pastels kind of girl for spring/summer. Personally, I think that pairing the neons with neutral colors makes them pop even more and prevents them from looking too garish! I've just remembered I wore my neon pink skirt in a similar way ages ago! How do you wear your neons?

Snippets from this week...
Crumbs cupcakes for three!
NYC bursting into Spring bloom
Finally got somewhere to store my accessories with this tree from West Elm.
My family brought wonderful gifts from the UK: Topshop dresses, English tea and choccies!!
Couldn't resist this book- recently became obsessed with Mad Men- particularly Betty Draper's style.
Experimenting with my wardrobe- new neons from J.Crew and Anthropologie!

Rodarte tee: an old favourite
Bag: American Apparel (similar here), Belt: Zara (similar here), Tee: Rodarte, Collar: Cos, Pea coat: Uniqlo (similar here), Skirt: J.Crew, Boots: Topshop, Hat: Reiss.
Stripes again! I wore this last week for a quiet day out and about in the city. We went for mimosas for breakfast on the west side at an amazing little diner, browsed some shops and ended up at Lincoln Centre, which is such an incredible area for photos!
Later as we were walking past columbus circle a lady randomly handed me this huge bunch of bright balloons, I think it must have been a promo for something, although she didn't say. I tell you, it is unbelievably difficult to walk the busy streets on a windy day with a bunch of balloons! As much as I would have liked to imagine myself as one of those girls in the movies walking leisurely down the street casually carrying pretty balloons, in reality I looked ridiculous and practically got blown away. They were quickly deposited with the nearest small child, a good deed for the day!
My family are arriving later today to visit from the UK! I'm so excited to enjoy the city with them for a week, catch a show and revisit all the touristy sights. What are your plans for the weekend?

Tory Burch Fall 2012
Yesterday I had the pleasure of going to the Tory Burch studio to see all the AW12 clothes and accessories straight off the fashion week runway. To say I loved the collection is a bit of an understatement. Who wouldn't fall for those preppy outfits, chiffon/tulle dresses and pretty winter florals? And how sweet is that beaded collar?! Here are my three favourite looks from the show. That blue and red dress is an absolute showstopper, and all the more stunning in reality.
The pieces should be available in Tory Burch stores around August this year!
