Lace skirts and a Kenneth Cole collaboration

This is what I wore last week when I had the pleasure of being invited to the launch of the Brian Burkhardt collection for Kenneth Cole and to speak them both personally about the collaboration. If you are not aware, Brian was the winner of a TV show here called Project Accessory of which Kenneth was one of the judges.

The collection consists of four pieces inspired by unicorn horns(!) My favourite pieces are the necklace which I'm wearing here and the fantastic bag. All proceeds go toward the amfAR Awearness campaign too! The most important thing that I learned from meeting Brian and Kenneth was the opportunity to take risks in fashion. Kenneth stressed that was why Brian's unique pieces stood out to him above all the others, even though sometimes they weren't to his personal taste. Risk taking is something I really love about fashion too. The collections I love the most throughout fashion week are those that take classic pieces and styles, but have a slightly different twist. I'll always have a more classic style, but must remember to take more risks with outfits too!
