Hello! It's another fantastic long weekend! I hope you're all enjoying it so far. Yesterday was the Royal Wedding, so here in the UK we got the day off work. It was amazing to watch and although i've never considered myself as a wedding person, i fell head over heels for he bride's Sarah Burton McQueen dress. The lace was absolutely divine. We held a party for lots of friends to celebrate and had a brilliant time. Needless to say, today has been a much quieter (...recovery...) day!

This is a new dress that i couldn't resist from ASOS, as soon as I saw it, i knew it would be perfect for the belt ('fanny pack' i believe you in the US call it...?!), that i picked up in a vintage store in Georgetown while in DC. I don't often shop at ASOS, because everything i buy always turns out not as i expected or the wrong size- (entirely my fault, i'm a complete internet impulse buyer), and although this is quite short, i really love it!

Easter Monday: Red Silk Skirt

Happy Easter everyone! I hope you've all enjoyed the long weekend and had plenty of eggs, Easter is always the perfect excuse to overindulge and i've certainly munched my way through more chocolate in the past few days than i have all year!
After working in Yorkshire, i spent the rest of the holiday up there with my family, which was fantastic. I'm back for good now after all these trips away, so regular blog posting should presume!

En Vogue

Those of you who follow me on Twitter may already have seen this, but I just wanted to post it anyway! I am in this months UK issue (Royal Wedding issue!) of Vogue! Very exciting. The pick was taken in February at London Fashion Week. I am sure regular readers are sick of seeing LFW pics from me by now- but I am pretty sure this is the last one! Apologies for the shockingly bad iPhone pics! I didn't have space for my slr in my suitcase, so i am camera-less while i am away :-(

Fringed

Fringed lace: Topshop, Shorts: Zara, Bag: Reiss

I'm completely in love with this top/cape!! Although the fringing often gets tangled up with everything... Sorry for the overload of pictures btw, i'm very indecisive today and couldn't choose. This bag is a new purchase from Reiss. I've been eyeing it up fora while now and knew i just had to have it! The tassels are too cute! It hasn't left my shoulder since.

Some of you have been asking about how my tip to DC went. As i was working I didn't see as much of the city as I would have liked. I visited some of the memorials etc but was sad that there were no reflecting pools due to rehabilitation work on the area. Unfortunately I didn't have time to go and see any of the museums either-maybe next time!! I did, however, completely fall in love with Georgetown and managed to spend half a day there (shopping of course) lots of lovely shops! I'll be sharing some of my buys with you soon i'm sure!!

After one day back home, i'm now in Yorkshire (for work again). Taking the opportunity to visit my family up here over the Easter break which is nice. Hope you are all enjoying the hols if you have any right now. I'm looking forward to lots of Easter chocolate this weekend!

Travel outfit

Just a quick update, I'm back from DC, but pretty jet-lagged! Trying to stay awake so i can get back to UK time. Anyways, this is the outfit i wore for travelling. Super comfy flats, light skirt and a blazer. I always get so cold on the plane! Back to regular posting soon i hope, I'm going away for work for another week starting from Saturday, but as this one is within the UK, i'm hoping to still be able to post and visit all your blogs. xxx

Simple outfit

This is a very plain outfit, I just wanted to take my new Mulberry pouch for a spin! Loving its carousel horses :-) The bf was playing with the camera, taking lots of close ups which make me feel quite uncomfortable! I thought i'd share just a few of them...
Tomorrow i'm going to Washingon DC for a work trip. I've never been there before, does anyone have any tips/know of any good shops or areas i should visit?! Right now i'm more excited about the airport and the flight. Heathrow Terminal 5 has lots of shops! And i love airplane movies and even airplane food!!

Bikini shopping

Having recently booked a holiday to Spain in June, I realised that I haven't been on a beachy holiday for 8 years. My skin is in desperate need of some sun! Last week I decided to go bikini shopping- there were so many amazing ones to choose from. I finally settled on these 2, and I love them! It's highly unlikely that i'll be parading bikini-clad pictures of myself in a post, (much too self-conscious!) so thought i'd share them with you now instead!
