Just a quick mini-post this weekend :-) After not being so great all week, i ended up having emergency root canal treatment yesterday! I've had a week of very little sleep, so haven't been very dressy unfortunately! I did, however, treat myself to this Alexander McQueen scarf from Harvey Nichols the other day, so took it out for a little spin today while celebrating being able to drink coffee and eat cake again!
I'm not a 'skull' person. At all. But there's something about these scarves that i've wanted one for so many years. In the end i decided just to bite the bullet and get one. This was actually from the Men's SS11 collection. I wanted a colour that i could wear all year round, so chose a darker one rather than pastel/ summery colours- especially as summer only lasts about 5 mins in the UK! Just to be clear, i don't usually go out and splurge on designer things.... Just every so often, i allow myself to get something that i know i will love and wear for a long time. The last thing was my YSL Arty that I got in December. I usually stick to high street over expensive designers!!
Anyways i hope you all had a good week. I'm going on holiday on Tuesday :-) Hope i get some sun! I'll be sure to take lots of photos to share with you guys when i get back xxx

Glad to hear you're well enough to be back on the all important coffee and cake. The chairs in the cafe look divinely comfortable. The remind me of a cafe I used to semi-live in, in DE.
Loving the McQueen purchase. Would love one of the scarves and almost bought a pastel one last year, but it would have literally emptied my account. I agree the black is a classic all year round kind of colour, but I also wear so much black or dark block colours in the winter, that pastel colours can work for me, to give a bit of light. I have to admit, I'm still a little bit regretful that I didn't make a leap of faith on the scarf I saw.
Oyyy...a root canal, that stinks...
but YAY for the McQueen! I want one of those so bad too...and the arty ring, ha ha
