The boat dress

I had to find a day to wear this dress at some point this summer! I nabbed it from eBay last year and I couldn't have been happier! What is better than bright blue and little boats?! I decided to clash it with the pink shoes- another fave. I'm lucky to have some nice locations close to where I live for outfit shots lately, as I'm hardly go far from the house/office at the moment- so busy! Tomorrow is my 'leaving lunch' at work, although i don't leave until next week. It seems strange that 3 years of this PhD has suddenly come to an end! Lets just hope I pass the thing!

Petticoats and jam tarts: Part deux

Sorry to bombard you with more of the same. But here are some of my favourites that I promised you yesterday! Well, the first one is my favourite...
As you can see i was practically falling over walking through the unsteady grass /reeds and my yelping was disturbing the peaceful quiet and sounds of crickets!
Last week the sweet girls Ashley, Santina and I all realised we would be wearing our 'tutus' over the weekend! I posted mine a little prematurely, but now you can check out how the lovely ladies rock their different 'tutus' too here and here! I think we can all agree that tutus are fabulous. Although mine is technically a petticoat....

Also, i have to apologize that haven't had the chance to visit all of your lovely blogs the past few days. My thesis is kicking my ass at the moment- the picnic this weekend was my brief respite! Back soon i promise! Lots of love xxxxx

Imagine my delight when i pulled this petticoat out of the package sent to me by the lovely guys at American Apparel! All that ruffley goodness. Today was the perfect opportunity to wear it- the sun was out, and we had major picnic plans! Do you like jam tarts too??! We took so many pictures that i'm splitting them into 2 posts- the rest i'll put up tomorrow- my favourites are still to come!

Wearing trousers again?!

So I finally managed to get a post up! As those of you who follow me on Twitter may know, last night my dear laptop was hacked into and infected pretty bad! After lots of TLC, he luckily came out the other side!!
And, yes- i'm wearing trousers again! I'm edging into Autumn wear already as its raining every day and starting to get cooler :-( But these are the most comfortable trousers ever!!

Hints of pink

Today finally got the opportunity to wear my new pink shoes!! I got them a week or so ago when shopping with my mum- who knew M&S had a great selection of shoes??!
This blouse is the same as the white one i have, that you've seen a few times on here. When i saw they still had the black one instore in was a 'sign'! i wear the white one so much... Hope you all had a fantastic start to the week xxx

I want summer back!!

Jess Stam is one of my favourite models and i love this editorial from Numero Tokyo last year. The bright colours, prints and how awesome are those tassle shoes??! I want the sun to come back so I can wear this stuff! Still raining today and when I went to Ikea I hoped it would make a good place for some amusing outfit shots, anyhoo- they didn't turn out well :-( Better luck tomorrow- I've got lots of new clothes to share!!

I don't like to re-wear an entire outfit- but obviously i re-wear individual pieces! If we didn't wear things more than once then we'd all be completely skint or walking around naked! So, as it's raining again, I dragged out this dress from the back of my closet. Long time readers may remember it is the dress i was wearing in my Grazia feature last year. This time i paired it with my trusty hat and brogues and my new Marc Jacobs clutch that the bf brought back from the states. Which look do you prefer?

I'm sure you're all sick of this belt- I can't help it- it goes with everything! This time i used it to pull together this weird scarfy/ top thing of my boyfriends (I couldn't resist- I liked the rough edges and the print!) I never really wear jeans- especially not these ones but it was pouring with rain so i gave in. This mirror place is near where i work- it's so confusing inside it!!
I changed my blog header yesterday. I still don't know what to think of it but it's ok for a change, i was sick of seeing the old one. The photos i used were all my 'out-takes' from old outfit shoots- sometimes its hard to take serious photos!

One thing i learned this weekend- don't wear your highest heels to walk around a National Heritage site- gravelly paths= bad!! These aren't like my typical outfit pictures, since my 'photographer!' is still away, but i took some pictures over the past couple of days while my family was visiting instead- hope you like!
