Rainy days

Dress and loafers: lucky eBay finds, Silk skirt: from Japan, Hat: H&M

Sorry for the lack of posts this week guys, i've been quite ill so today was the first time I left the house for 4 days! AND.. it was the first day of rain- hence not too many smiley faces in the pics and the lighting/ quality is quite poor! Decided to wear this spotty dress as a jacket/ cover up against the rain, it kind of worked..maybe..? Also, for the record- i honestly was on the phone in the first pic!!
We're having a Eurovision party tonight. I know Eurovision is outdated, tacky and ridiculous- but it can be lots of fun with drinking and cheering on random acts! I love the campness of it all! Unfortunately this all means I'm missing the Stolen Girlfriend's Club event at Liberty's :-( but hey, roll on Eurovision! Hope you're all enjoying the weekend! xxxxx

Vogue Russia June 2010

I haven't posted any inspiration for a while- but when i stumbled across this I couldn't resist. It's like Audrey Hepburn goes to Russia or something! Absolutely love it. The longer length full skirts and dresses, sunglasses, headscarves and pearls- definitely a refreshing change! This is Ranya Mordanova in Vogue Russia from this month. Beauty. xxxx

Enjoying the sun in Regent's Park

Top:Zara, Skirt: AA, Belt, shoes and lace shorts (underneath) : Topshop

The weather is incredible at the moment. This weekend I had a lot of fun in London- i actually didn't go too crazy with the shopping either, but spent a lot of time in the park. This outfit prompted some Essex boy to slow his car right down, roll down the windows and yell "Why are you wearing socks you div?" as I walked past! Haha, i haven't heard the word 'div' in years! And who knew socks were such a crime?!

These pictures and the recent improvement in weather have made me realise I really need to get into shape for the summer, so i'm heading off to join the lovely big gym this afternoon- i'm sure it'll be a huge advance on the university one which i stopped going to about a year ago!! Need to get off my lazy ass!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! xxxx

You can't take the 80's out of the baby

Blouse: H&M (similar here), cycling shorts: AA, old playsuit, Sandals: BCBG, Sunnies: Topshop, Belt: vintage CK, Bag: my trusty D&G

I had a few requests for more ways to wear both the cycling shorts and the sheer blouse- so I went ahead and put them both together. I feel very 80's! The playsuit is one I dug out from last years summer wardrobe- its always fun to revamp old clothes. And playsuits are the best, if not the most practical things to wear..!

There's a lot of graffiti on the backstreets of my city and the bf wanted to take photos there. I'm not trying to make a point with the 'new world order 2012' thing- honestly i didn't even know about this end of the world theory until i just googled it, I swear I live in a bubble sometimes!
Heading to London again this weekend, for shopping of course and BBQs in the park- looking forward to it. It's funny how the sun can put everyone in a much better mood! xxxx

Meadham Kirchhoff for Topshop.

Everyone seems to be going mad for the new Kate Moss at Topshop collection released tomorrow, so much so that the Meadham Kirchhoff collaberation (which i for one am much more interested in) has barely been given a mention! Am I the only one tired by Moss's over-hyped designs? I swear the same old denim hotpants crop up every season. Having a look today, there are a few interesting blouses and dresses that i like, but they're not much different to the ones you'd find in TS anyway, but at double the price!
Anyway, rant over and on to more exciting things. I'm loving the Meadham Kirchhoff collection and have had my eye on a couple of dresses since the lookbook dropped into my inbox last week. Nude sequin and lace anyone? Yes please. Sheer black with panelling? I want them all, especially the nude dresses and skirt! View the collection here.
What do you guys think?
Speaking of Topshop, i am in a very good mood today as the dress i've been lusting after ever since i saw it on Jill's blog finally arrived! Was a lucky eBay find because they no longer sell it in stores. Bonus!! Pictures to come.

I'm back!

Blouse: H&M, Skirt: from Japan, Clogs and socks: Topshop, Lace crop top: UO, Headband: Zara
Finally back to blogging- sorry for not being around the past few days- but i had a great time back home- it's always good to go home once in a while! But now, back to work!
I found this sheer blouse in London a couple of weeks ago- wasn't sure whether i liked it- but now i've found it goes with anything!! it's great to throw over any outfit. After sharing my love for blurry pics a while ago, I tried out a couple of blurry pics myself- not sure whether they worked though...
The weather is getting better again now so i can whip out some summer clothes- finally!!! I'm lusting over the hawaiian and fruity print shorts in Topshop!
Hope you all had a great weekend- thanks for the comments, i'll be visiting all your blogs very soon xxx

Red socks

Top and skirt: H&M, Shoes and scarf: Vivienne Westwood, Socks: the bf
Another outfit post for you. I was experimenting with the red socks, they're actually my boyfriends, lucky for me they shrunk in the wash! I quite like them, but they got a few strange looks.. Maybe they look like football socks?! Anyway, he has a wide range of colours so i'm sure i'll be testing more.. What do you guys think to coloured ankle socks?
I'm back at 'home' home (my parents!) for the week, so i may not be blogging as frequently. But I'll be back to visiting all your lovely blogs on Sunday!
PS I love these dandelion clocks- they're everywhere!!

More Spring inspiration

Another spring-meets-autumn editorial from the archives. This one is from Lula magazine of October last year. I love the pastoral theme, and Lindsay Wixson is such a doll! I've been hoping to take some pastoral-esque pictures myself but the weather has gone seriously downhill :-( It's so freezing outside!
Anyway, my favourite is the cream dress, such a great length! And i love the idea of carrying flowers around! I'm on the hunt for a basket, the whole thing would be very Jane Birkin inspired.
Hope you all had a great weekend!! xxx
