Sharky pants

Top: UO, Shorts: Unique, Cycling shorts: AA, Shoes: Topshop, Ring: Courtesy of Lushae
So after a couple of days been shut up in the house (writing a 80,000 word thesis!!) I stepped out today to realise it was sunny! And like HOT (capital letter hot) for the UK. So out came the new shark print silk shorts I snapped up in the Topshop sale! So comfy! Although super tiny- giving me the opportunity to wear these cycling shorts finally!! Yay! Not that you'd ever see me on a bike.. I can't even remember the last time i rode a push-bike- the danger!!
Also, loving the chunky goodness of this ring sent by Lushae jewelry, haven't stopped wearing it since it arrived! Yum. Check them out here, there's some great stuff.
Hope you're all enjoying the week! Thanks for all the comments. And please formspring me if you have any questions xxx
PS: Yes there was a random barstool in the road. No, I didn't put it there! But i was a good citizen and moved it out of the way!

Obsession du jour: Miu Miu collars

I know i'm stupidly late to post this- but alas! my obsession with latest Miu Miu prints is still growing by the day! Really trying to resist buying one of these fantastic collars!! I mean they're kinda just affordable even on a student budget, but affordable for a collar- probably not, but why be sensible?! They're so yummy!
Middle image taken from Tavi's dear blog- she went for the naked lady, but reckon i'd stick to a more demure cat (prude)!
I guess I'm lucky not to have a Miu Miu store near me or i would probably have succumbed already... How cute will they look a la this outfit! But much more glam. *sigh* they've probably sold out anyway.. i'll be checking eBay in a few months! xxx

The internet really sucks sometimes!

So, today I randomly discovered that some of my personal blog pictures had been taken and circulated through Tumblr- being reblogged lots- including on some pretty weird sites. Normally, I don't mind people using my images with permission or whatever on other fashion blogs. However, really didn't want my face being associated with some of these sites and it actually made me quite upset. I hate to be funny about these sorts of things cos i know when you put yourself out there and have a blog- there are always weirdos on the net. I guess i am quite naive. But it got me thinking about where my pictures could have been used!!

So basically I freaked out for a while- contemplated just deleting everything- giving up. And i ate lots of chocolates...
Next began the reflection period. Did i really want to stop blogging? No. Although i'm new to this i'm really enjoying writing and sharing things with you guys and would really miss it.

So, I've done my research- and there are a few changes on the blog. Unfortunately, personal pictures will no longer be able to be enlarged when you click on them. Also, for the time being i have disabled the right click function until i am able to watermark all my personal pictures. Hopefully it won't take long!! I know this might sound crazy and overprotective but i really advise other bloggers to protect their personal images- you really don't know where they can end up- believe me! Luckily i've been lucky enough to get mine removed from these sites with minimal fuss.
So i apologise for any convenience to you guys- i really do! I'm still really freaked out about this and have learnt my lesson. Right click will be back soon!! And please do contact as me if you do want to use images- i really don't mind and enjoy hearing from you all!!

Hopefully i'll be laughing about this soon! Sorry to preach!!! On another note, here's some outfit pictures!! Top from Topshop, H&M skirt and tights, vintage studded belt and my favourite shoes from Japan! Now i'm going to have a lovely night in, ready for vintage shopping and photo taking tomorrow! Have a fantastic weekend! xxxxxxx
UPDATE: The lovely people at Tumblr have swiftly resolved my problem! Yay! Thanks Mr Tumblr tech supporty man!! You are too kind! And thanks to you guys for all your supportive comments! xx

Freja is a Tough Ballerina

Now, THIS is what i've been waiting for! Ruffle skirts and PVC? Chiffon and leather? Black and pink?! yes, yes and yes!! Freja in Interview magazine this month. How amazing is the collection of shoes?!! I'm definitely inspired by ballerinas at the moment (tutus, leotards, pumps- who can resist?)- but this takes it to another level.

PS- I thought i'd give formspring a try! So please feel free to send questions here!

Vintage and lace

Mostly vintage. Shoes and socks: Topshop
Bit of a vintage theme for you today! Took these photos whilst out in a local town this weekend. We actually had a lovely picnic- but no pics of this to share: Food first, photos later! I'm so glad the flowers are finally out and Sunday was such a beautiful day! How cute is the duck and her chicks?? I couldn't resist!!
Some of these photos are actually part of a feature i hope i'll be able to share with you soon, along with an interview which i'm answering right now. One question always stumps me: describe your style in one sentence. Hmmmm. How would you guys describe your style??

Who said blurry pics were a bad thing?

I've been feeling a little uninspired by the editorials lately. I mean, all the styling, models etc are wonderful as per, but photographically- uninspired. There's always individual pictures i fall in love with- mostly i post these on my Tumblr, but until today i hadn't found a complete editorial i truly love this month. Step up Victor De Mello, photographer of these beautiful shots from Fashion 156 'shining issue'. Beautiful

PS: Welcome to any new followers! and thanks! xxx

Spring wardrobe staples

Clogs and socks:Topshop, Dress: H&M, Cardigan: Deer Friend, Bag: Vintage Furla
, Bangles: Marc Jacobs and Cos

So, i didn't mange to get anything from the Outnet sale. Except maybe repetitive strain injury from constantly trying to refresh the page as the servers were down. It was to be expected i guess- but i definitely got my hopes up way too high.
In commiseration I hauled my sulky ass down to the shops to buy a few Spring staples and cheer myself up! Now, usually i'm a complete impulse shopper but on this occasion i only got things i've wanted for a while (except some John Lennon-esque gold sunglasses i just had to have). So here i am showing off my new clog(?) sandals. Love them. And they're actually quite comfy when worn with socks. I also finally manged to get my hands on these shorts from AA to go under skirts and shorts! Yay, my worries of bum flashing in short summer outfits are finally over!
Hope you're all enjoying the Sun! xxx
PS: Yes that is a wasp on my hand. Apparently it made a good picture? Took a lot to resist screaming like a girl

Splashing around at Somerset House!

Hat: H&M, Top: from Japan, Bag: D&G, Accessories: Vintage, Rest: Topshop

Here's a few more shots from London. I couldn't resist splashing around the fountains at Somerset House- of course they turned the bloody things up once i got in there so ended up pretty soaked!! And, yes- i'm obsessed with this hat atm. It kinda reminds me of the ones at Hermes, just not half as classy! Plus it hides most of my messy hair- always a plus! xxx
